I’m in a show opening this weekend. The exhibition, opening at the Moto Gallery in Lakewood, is a group show curated by wunderkind artist/curator Peter Jennings called Small Worlds, Strange Worlds. It looks to explore the gray area of reality and fantasy and the idea that in life as is in art, the depiction of reality is often fantasy. The staged manner in which images and films are created mimic the way the world and our perceptions can often be open for interpretation and how our environment acts as a stage for our own plays to be enacted. SW,SW works with artists who construct realities to explore personal narratives and human existence through story telling and performance.
Small Worlds, Strange Worlds, which opens on Saturday November 28th from 5-9pm, features the work of Hans Gindlesberger, Peter Jennings, Dominic Lippillo, Libby Rowe and as mentioned up top…..me, Brandon Juhasz. So come, check it out, the idea’s look to be great and the work exceptional. Get away from the family a bit or bring them along, the after party is at Mullens on Madison.
